"Hoppy" Birthday

I have expanded in the House-Mouse Designs, this is "Party Hoppers" from Happy Hoppers. These little guys are almost as cute as the mice. I colored these little fellows up with prisma colors using OMS. The BG paper is Nursery Baby Girl from DCWV. I popped the bunnies to give some dimensions to this card. Used my cuttlebug to cut out the balloons and hat, it sure saves alot of time by not having to hand cut all the embelishments. I have been trying to get a few extra cards completed for a little stash.

Thank you for visiting and please leave a comment.

Ice Cream Birthday

Hope everybody is having a wonderful 4th of July, enjoying family and friends. Remembering our men and women protecting our Freedom, Thank You everyday for keeping us safe.

I used Ice Cream Girl from The Angel Company, it seemed to be an appropriate Birthday card for the summer. Everybody loves ice cream and the inner child comes out. I just love this stamp set, I colored it up with the prisma color using the OMS. The papers I used were from Two Scoops and Bitter Sweet from Basic Grey and The Spring Stack from DCWV. I found this piece of ribbon in my ribbon collection, it just fit the theme.

I have been away from the blog lately been very busy with summer here. But I did find time to visit one of my favorite stores "Archivers" to restock some supplies. The nearest store to me is about 3 hours away, it is well worth the trip. I have been very busy making cards trying to get caught up for the summer. July is here and we will now be starting on Christmas cards. Please feel free to leave me a comment on this card. Thank you for dropping in.

"Going Away"

I have missed visiting blog and see what all of you have been doing. I have been very busy lately, but I am going to try and drop in to check out some of my favorite sites. I have missed also entering challenges, I hope I can get back into the groove.
This going away card was made for our manager at Curves. She will be greatly missed, she gave alot of encouragement to me to keep me going. Anybody that has been to a Curves knows what "Change Station Now" means.

The stamp I used was "Bunny Hop" from the HappyHoppers from House-Mouse Designs. The bunnies jumping around just fit the Curves theme. I colored with Prisma color and OMS. The ribbon was DCWV All Dressedup-Lipstick, when I purchased I did not realize it was self stick. I just love, love, love this ribbon, I have got to find some more. I think I got it at Archivers in Raleigh, NC. I used my newest toy Xyron Design Runner to print on the ribbon "Change Station Now". I really love this new toy it prints on almost anything and anywhere. The BG papers used were both from DCWV The Blossoms and Butterflies. I cut the flourish out with the Craft Robo. I purchase silk stem flowers and removed the flowers to use on cards or scrapbooking.

Thank you for stopping in and checking me out, please leave a comment and visit again soon.

Mother's Day

It has been a very busy week, this is my first card for this week. I did not get to participate in any of the challenges this week. I have not had time hardly to visit other blogs that I follow, please forgive me. I have missed not being able to check out all the beautiful and skillful work everybody puts into their cards, I have gotten a lot of great ideas. Now if I can just find time to put them to use. With May just around the corner I will be more busy than I was this week, May is always a very busy month for us.
I did find the time to do one of my Mother's Day Card today. I really like this Sarah Kay stamp, "Time for Apple Pie". The paper I used was DCWV "The Luxury Stack" and Basic Grey "Wisteria Paper Pad". I used a Martha Stewart edge punches for the bottom and along the side. I sewed lace around the image and across the top for some added touches. I used some edge dies with the cuttlebug to dress the inside of the card.
Thank you for dropping in and leaving a comment. See you again soon.

Scrappy Frog Challenge #2

Hope everybody had a Happy Easter Day and a wonderful weekend. I am very excited about the challenge over at Scrappy Frog Challenge Blog #2 deadline is April 22nd. The challenge is an inspiration challenge, being inspired by a new gadget from Making Memories, the Slice, I do not have this gadget yet. So as I stared at the picture of the slice hum... what would inspire me the most...the soft colors, the shape, I was inspired by both the color and different shapes on the slice. So I went to work on it, the BG paper is from DCWV "The Green Stack" 70% recycled paper, this paper has the colors of the slice. The bear stamp is from House-Mouse, Gruffies "All Warm & Furry" I just received him last week in the mail, the butterfly is from SU "Bugs and Slugs". I colored both images with Prisma colors and OMS. Above the tea pot spout I embossed to make an effect of steam. The slice has several shapes that inspired me, I used the corner rounder by CM, also used Fiskars corner Victorian, I did not slide paper all the way in the cutter to get this shape on the brownish paper. The edge was also cut with a Fiskars edger, the gems on the corners were Self Stick Gems by Darico. I had alot of fun making this card, thank you for dropping in to check it out. Have a great day!!!

Happy Easter

Hope you all are ready for Easter...I have finally finished all my Easter Cards. I would like to wish everybody a very Blessed Easter. Thank you for taking the time to check me out. Thank you Marsha for encouraging me to do a blog and to make more cards.

I have had this sweet House-Mouse for a while I thought she would make a nice card. This is Amanda in "Fish Bowl". I colored this cute mouse and her friend with Prisma Colors and OMS. The paper I used for the yellow BG is K & Company "Brenda Walton Small Wonders Girl" and the paper for the red BG is from DCWV "The Spring Stack". I used my Craft Robo to cut out the slider with Happy Easter. The CR is really a fascinating tool, you can create what every you want to with the program that comes with it. There is no limit on what you can design on your own computer. Sorry do not mean to sound like a commercial but, the CR is a great tool for any paper crafter. I also used the cuttlebug and embossed with the swiss dot folder.

Spring Card

The weather we were having here in Northeastern North Carolina just got me in the mood for spring. Thought she would make a wonderful Spring Card, just so peaceful.

The flower and butterfly are from The Angel Company - Hoppy Everything. The girl is from Sarah Kay called “Time for Apple Pie”, well I kinda of changed her basket full of apples to a basket of eggs. I used K& Company Designer Mat Pad "Small Wonder Girl" for the background paper. The corner was cut with the cuttlebug. Hope everybody is getting spring fever, and the weather in your area is improving. Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog.

Happy Birthday

Hope everybody is having a wonderful weekend. The weather here in Northeastern NC is just beautiful, the rain and wind has stopped here for now. The sun is shinning bright and all the birds are busy at the feeders, they inspired this card. This card was stamped with stampin up "Spring Song" and I used Nestabilities and Cuttlebug for the die cuts. I colored with EK Success Chalks and SU blender pen. I just had to add the flower to give this card some dimension and bright colors. Have a great weekend and thank you for stopping in and visiting.

In Darkest Hour

This is an example of a card I make for the times that is the hardest in ones life. I try to keep a few of these cards on hand, because the dark hours come upon us instantly. I think the light house inked up goes with the sentiment. I use the prisma colors to color the image, amd my cuttlebug with the spellbinder die to cut the back paper. Try to keep the cards kind of simple.
